INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE

SCMHRD's Infrastructure Committee, established in 2014, acts as a liaison between the student community and industry bodies. Experiential learning and industry interactions are essential to the pedagogy at SCMHRD, and the committee works to expand corporate engagements by conducting various industrial activities and events. Also, group discussions, case studies, personal interviews, and alum sessions are organized as batch development activities.

This year, the Infrastructure Committee organized the 11th edition of its annual flagship event, InfraBlaze '25 themed Shreshtha Bharat: Fuelling India's Economic Momentum, virtually from December 8th to 10th, 2025. This event was themed around, "Gati Shakti:A Cross-Functional Blueprint for India's Economic Momentum", "Synergizing Sustainability: Strengthening Value Chains for a Resilient Future", and “Empowering Enterprise: Innovation and Integration in the Infrastructure Growth” across three days. The event was focused on sustainability in projects, enhancing operational performance and efficiency in the long term, with enriching and insightful sessions by various renowned dignitaries.

The committee also organizes the 'LEAdx – Industry-Academia Interactions' series of guest lectures focused on bringing Leadership from boardrooms to classrooms. This year, LEAdx-7.0 commenced with an insightful session , which helped students acquire the multidimensional skills required to have a promising career in the infrastructure consulting sector. 

The committee also publishes 'InfraInsights', a fortnightly newsletter which contains various news snippets about the latest occurrences in the Infrastructure Sector. Good infrastructure event knowledge makes the work process more accessible, resulting in positive and high productivity.

'InFocus', a summer internship experience-sharing forum, is also conducted by the committee. Apart from these, the committee commemorates several days of national importance.

Educational Site Visit’– An experiential learning initiative that provides students with real-world exposure to infrastructure projects. The visit enables interaction with industry experts, offering practical insights into project execution and the application of classroom concepts across infrastructure-related domains.
